The Wisp is well suited as a bivy replacement. Think of it as a "super bivy" since the Wisp is totally enclosed to escape bugs and mosquitoes, it is also big enough to be able to sit up in and change clothes when it is raining, which is impossible to do with a bivy. Another bonus is the Wisp has a covered vestibule that a bivy does not have to store pack and footwear out of the weather.

Head end has double wall construction for condensation managment, our design also allows you to roll back head end for "Moon View" or for extra ventilation.

The name ‘super bivy’ is a spot-on description of this.

Very good at what it does.

February 24, 2017 The Super-Bivi term is very apt for this tent. It gives far more room than a conventional bivi and has space for your kit as well, but it is very lightweight and so features are slim. My first impressions are that it has been very well designed, there are some great features like vents and easily adjustable mini guys. It's very quick to put up, just fire your trekking pole into the ground and drape the wisp over the top. Peg out from upwind to downwind (head to toe). I use 125cm mountain king poles so have to drive the main pole into the ground a bit to get the correct height, but a welcome bonus is that the folded length of my other pole is 38cm, which is the length require to hold up the foot end so I save a bit of weight and packing volume there. Without the secondary pole, the wisp can be packed down to 11cm * 25cm, a shade larger than a 1 litre nalgene bottle. Requires 7 pegs to rig fully, a bit of a pain as they're sold in packs of 6, bit overall I am very happy to be carrying this rather than a bivi bag this summer. https://www.ultralightoutdoorgear.co.uk/equipment-c3/tents-shelters-c25/all-tents-c148/wisp-super-bivy-tent-p6510

A GREAT ULTRALIGHT TENT
Graham (WESTERN AUSTRALIA) 7/22/2016 10:21 AM
This was my first ultralight tent I bought from Big Sky. I would like to say it is well made, super light weight, easy and quick to put up. I chose the SuprSil fabric which seems very strong and durable. I also use it with my home made aluminum broom handle hike pole which works really well at 47" [120cm] for a pole. Lots of room even for a small tent. Very little condensation because of the [vestibule/mesh netting} all down one side and foot end fly netting which gives good ventilation for a single skin tent. I Like the half open option of the fly door which lets in plenty of air, yet keeps things nice and dry. Well recommended and good price. I have also since just bought [Big Sky's] Soul 1P ultralight free standing tent in [Let-it-Por fabric made by Cubic] cuben and carbon poles which is also superb.
